This mail appeal is a bio-demographic update and soft ask that we send at the beginning of our fiscal year (July 1-June 30) to Loyola University alumni. The first time we tested this piece in FY24, we sent it to our entire contactable, solicitable alumni mail file regardless of giving history and varied the outer envelopes and logos based on the school the alum/na matriculated from. This mailing yielded $294,000 from 1,084 donors, and had an 0.66% response rate. In FY25, we reduced the audience to acquisition/long-lapsed alumni only, and still used school-based outer envelopes and logos. Our results in FY25 with the acquisition-only audience was $26,455 raised from 291 donors, with a 0.19% response rate.
