| Description | This appeal targeted IU students, specifically through the IU Student Foundation. The purpose was to galvanize support and funds for various mental health initiatives for college students. I wrote this appeal and talked with students before drafting it. I listened to their perspective and utilized their voice in the piece so the reader would feel like a peer was speaking with them. We used statistics to show how widespread mental health issues are among college students. Based on the feedback from the IU Student Foundation and the financial goals achieved, it seems this appeal was successful. |
