We are trying to inspire and move up our alumni giving. An alumni gave us a matching gift for giving day that we could put towards anything and structure any way we wanted. We made it a $100 match to the area of their choice for a minimum gift of $20 for the first 400 alumni who gave on giving day. This, combined with other alumni outreach, (including adding areas of defined interest geared towards alumni, rather than just the annual fund) helped us raise our alumni giving percentage on the year by almost 2% on a single day. We went from 450 Giving Day gifts in 2022 to 901 Giving Day gifts in 2023, 559 of those as alumni.
