This social media post highlights the importance of seed gifts to use as matches and shows how we combine Giving Day with Spring Day—a tradition that started in the 70s that gives students a day off from classes to have fun before gearing up for the last weeks of the spring semester. We saw an increase in student engagement with Giving Day. They liked seeing their classmates featured in posts and liked participating in the giving challenge—we got 106 student gifts as a result.
