The University of Pennsylvania (Penn) is seeking an innovative and dynamic professional for role of Assistant Vice President for Annual Giving (AVP). This inaugural position offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and enhance Penn’s annual giving programs, driving both immediate and long-term philanthropic support for one of the nation’s leading institutions.

This strategic position requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with a preference for demonstrated success in annual giving, marketing, or alumni-focused philanthropic engagement. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, management, and program administration skills, a proven track record in higher education fundraising, and the ability to engage and inspire various stakeholders.

In this position, you will:

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for donor engagement, pipeline development, and innovative fundraising.
• Collaborate with university leadership and various departments to ensure annual giving initiatives align with institutional priorities.
• Act as a strategic thought partner, providing counsel on annual campaign efforts and university-wide initiatives.
• Expand support for financial aid and other key budget priorities through effective engagement and fundraising strategies.
• Lead and elevate the Penn Fund and School & Center Annual Giving units.
