Annual Giving Manager
The University of Maine Foundation is seeking an Annual Fund Manager to oversee annual giving initiatives that generate private philanthropic support for the University of Maine.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual fundraising strategies in collaboration with leadership.
- Conceptualize, write, and implement annual fund appeals.
- Manage print, email, and digital campaigns for fundraising efforts.
- Coordinate special fundraising initiatives, including memorial giving, crowdfunding, tribute giving, text-to-donate, and giving days.
- Oversee the class-giving program and recruit a new class-giving manager annually.
- Maintain the annual fund calendar and track expenses.
- Analyze data to develop segmentation strategies and achieve fundraising goals.
- Serve as the annual giving liaison to the Director of Athletic Development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or two years of annual fundraising experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong understanding of marketing and annual fund principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Excellent persuasive writing skills.
Preferred:
- At least three years of experience in annual fund management and advancement work.
- Experience creating print, email, and social media appeals, website design, and basic Adobe Creative Suite skills.
Office Presence: The successful candidate will be required to work fully on-site during the onboarding period. Afterward, the role will maintain a regular in-office presence, with the potential for some remote work during the week.
