Marketing Communication Resource is the leader in philanthropic direct mail services. For more than 30 years, MCR has served its nonprofit clients within the higher education, healthcare, foundation, arts, social and religious sectors. MCR provides full-service print and mail solutions, personalized communications and technical data abilities that drive donor response for philanthropic causes.

MCR is seeking someone who has a desire to learn or is already skilled at programming, data analytics and communications. This position will initially train under the guidance of MCR’s Programming Team for 4-6+ months with a planned transition to report to the Client Development Team.

In the first several months of your role, you will be trained on programming techniques specific to print production operations and client job flow. As part of this training program your ability to identify patterns for data transformation, utilize work flow processes and balance multiple priorities will be imperative. 

Upon your transition to the Client Development team, you will serve a variety of non-profit clients with their data needs via MCR’s multi-use platform – Donorize. As part of the team assisting Donorize clients, you will be asked to provide a high-quality experience by utilizing programming skills to map in data feeds to the software, build and select audiences, perform calculations, assist with data entry for client reporting, and perform in depth data quality checks.

Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Information Systems or a related discipline.

Desired Skill Set:

  • High comfort level in working with and manipulating data, as well as a desire to grow programming skill set.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort in participating in client meetings and facilitate time-sensitive discussions and action between internal teams (sales, project managers, programming).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to proofread. Documentation skills are a bonus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and higher education fundraising, especially within the annual giving field is a bonus.

Other Duties: Additional requests to assist other internal departments with data or communication may be requested. Dependent upon the skills and aptitude of the individual filling this role, additional cross-training opportunities may arise that contribute to the candidate’s overall growth and advancement within the company.
