Digital Fundraising Officer
The position is critical to ensuring Annual Giving meets our aggressive fundraising goals, especially as it relates to maximizing opportunities for developing and managing multi-channel, digital forward platforms.
Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Digital Fundraising officer will grow online fundraising and lead Annual Giving digital initiatives including, but not limited to, crowdfunding, e-solicitations, social media and peer-to-peer texting. Work as a key member of the Annual Giving team, assisting with Augusta Gives, Giving Tuesday, IGIVE and other initiatives to meet aggressive fundraising goals.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and effectively manage multi-channel, digital forward fundraising initiatives including, but not limited to Crowdfunding, Giving Pages, Events, Texting, Memberships, Athletics Camps, and Team-Based Fundraising.
- Serve as the operational point person for GiveCampus, ThruText, OLX, OU Campus, and ThankView, and serve as the department’s digital strategist for Augusta Gives
- Day, Jag Funder and Giving Tuesday.
- Work as a key member of the Annual Giving team, assisting with Augusta Gives, Giving Tuesday, IGIVE and other initiatives to meet aggressive fundraising goals.
- Use data, reporting, and analysis to develop creative and successful strategies to increase giving and identify new major donor prospects to grow and strengthen the gift pipeline.
- Develop and produce detailed program plans, communications strategies, briefings, reports and more that provide meaningful information to assist leadership in making data-driven decisions related to Annual Giving
- Perform all other job-related duties/tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college of university with a minimum of three years of experience in annual giving, alumni relations, sales or e-marketing
OR
Associate’s degree from an accredited college of university in related field and five years of overall professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Journalism, Business or Marketing/PR with one to three years of experience in annual giving, alumni relations or e-marketing. Or 5 years of overall professional experience, especially experience in higher education, or non-profit organization. Knowledge of digital fundraising and/or working with digital platform.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- Experience with multi-channel, digital forward initiatives that include crowdfunding, e-solicitations, social media and peer-to-peer texting.
- Experience with databases (especially Raiser’s Edge) and internet searches.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal/written communications skills, attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- A high energy level, integrity and sincerity.
- Ability to multi-task, think creatively and handle a heavy workload.
- Requires adaptability, good judgement and initiative.
- Knowledge of standard event management tasks and resources.
- Ability to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, as well as, patients, families, volunteers and employees.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Pay Band: B8
Salary: $45,400 – $54,080
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
