Springfield College seeks a dynamic and energetic Director of Alumni and Family Engagement to oversee all aspects of programming for its more than 50,000 alumni as well as engagement of student families.  The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage an experienced team, and an understanding of complex organizations with preference for knowledge of Higher Education.  The successful candidate must be curious, analytical, and strategic with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. The successful candidate will embody the College’s philosophy of Humanics: educating the whole person in spirit, mind, and body for leadership in service to others. 

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree with Master’s preferred
• 8+ years of experience in alumni or parent relations, development, or other related field
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted US driver’s license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Springfield College’s insurance carrier
• Experience managing staff
• Strong attention to details throughout all aspects of responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as database (CRM) management, such as Raiser’s Edge
• Preference for experience in software platforms such as Almabase, GiveCampus or Thankview
• Ability to manage sensitive, complex and evolving situations as relates to volunteers, donors, and members of the College constituency
• Excellent event and programming management including in-person and virtual options; negotiate contracts, sponsorships, payments, timetables, and other requirements
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a varied routine including frequent interruptions for visitors or phone calls
• Be collaborative and collegial in working with teams; ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Enjoys the college environment, engaging with students, faculty, and staff and participating in aspects of campus life
• Preference for the candidate to be a graduate of Springfield College or have other associated relationship
