Part of the university’s central Annual Giving team, the Student Philanthropy & Engagement Center Manager will report to the Associate Director of Annual Giving. The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the university’s Student Philanthropy & Engagement Center with primary responsibility for running the year-round outbound communication engagement program and student team of 50 students.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Student Philanthropy and Engagement Center’s efforts to contact and solicit alumni, friends and parents by phone calls, text, and emails.
  • Recruit, train, supervise and motivate a staff of over 50 student callers and a team of student managers.
  • Assure the quality of engagement through regular monitoring and coaching to discuss performance.
  • Work with schools, units and other members of University Advancement and the alumni relations teams to develop informational materials for each calling campaign and ensure callers are knowledgeable about all campaigns they are calling.
  • Oversee the hiring process and payroll paperwork with our HR Representative.
  • Compile and coordinate reports for gifts and feedback
  • Complete Data reports and data tasks as needed for the Student Philanthropy and Engagement Center
  • Train, manage, and develop the Student Management team. Hold regularly scheduled meetings with the Student Managers and have strong communication across the program.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Annual Giving to ensure smooth operations at the Student Philanthropy and Engagement Center, maintaining clear and direct communication via email, Teams, and regular meetings.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years of related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience (managing employee relations, timecard approval, schedule building)
