Assistant Director of Annual Giving

This position serves as the annual giving liaison for 3-4 assigned schools, colleges, and units and is responsible for developing and executing unit-specific and central annual giving strategies, providing regular reporting on key performance metrics, and ensuring best practices are utilized in all annual giving initiatives. This position also works closely with annual giving leadership and advancement IT to develop reports to provide performance analysis on annual giving initiatives and drive strategic decision-making. This position serves as a key lead in developing overall annual giving school, college and unit strategy related to central projects (Dawg Day of Giving, Beat Week, etc.) and overall project coordination related to school, college, and unit partnerships.

Additional Division Requirements:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 3-4 school, college, and unit annual giving partnerships.
- Plan and implement multi-channel annual giving strategies for assigned schools, colleges, and unit, including direct mail, email, digital, phone, texting, etc.
- Coordinate special giving campaigns for assigned schools, colleges, and units.
- Advise school, college, and unit development staff on annual giving best practices and coordinate school, college, and unit involvement with central annual giving initiatives.
- Analyze key performance metrics for annual and special giving campaigns and provide reports to school, college, and unit liaisons.

Serve as the lead annual giving liaison on the team.
- Coordinate solicitation efforts among the other annual giving liaisons as needed.
- Develop and oversee school, college, unit involvement in Dawg Day of Giving, Beat Week, and other university-wide annual giving initiatives.
- Work with assistant director on developing engagement center text messages and ad hoc emails for schools, colleges, and units.
- Coordinate and update school, college and unit annual giving priorities and ensure appropriate funds are updated for overarching and specific giving opportunities.

Develop data analytics strategy to drive strategic decision-making for the annual giving program.
- Work with annual giving leadership and advancement IT to develop a set of reports that display key performance metrics for annual giving.
- Train annual giving staff on how to produce reports and ensure that reports are delivered to school, college and unit partners and Development & Alumni Relations’ leadership in a timely manner on a regular basis.
- In coordination with the annual giving team, conduct in-depth analyses on annual giving projects and initiatives and provide recommendations to annual giving leadership to inform strategic decisions.

Other duties assigned to include, but not limited to:
- Manage student worker/intern.
- Respond to donor questions and concerns from phone, email, and direct mail efforts.
Additional Schedule Information:
8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday; Additionally, as institutional priorities and fundraising strategies evolve, work hours may adjust to meet those demands. Must be willing to work evening and weekends, as necessary.
Salary:
$65,000+ Commensurate with qualifications and experience
