Director, Office of Records,  Alumni Association-Technical Services and Initiatives, to direct the Office of Records and be responsible for the data integrity of more than 400,000 records in the database-of-record for MIT Advancement.  Will ensure the safe and accurate processing of credit card gifts; supervise, hire, and train staff; lead the Data Integrity Team and provide strategy; allocate and oversee work across the team; lead a pan-Advancement database strategy team; oversee procedures, policy, and operations related to the system-of-record; contract with external partners to acquire up-to-date data on alumni and other constituents; benchmark data entry standards; and focus on developing systems to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data entry.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; seven years’ relevant records/gift operations management experience, preferably in higher education or other complex institution; two years’ experience managing direct reports; excellent management, leadership, coaching, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing, training, and presentation skills; strategic planning and project management experience; success directing employees to meet performance objectives; attention to detail; discretion with confidential/sensitive information; proficiency with PCs and standard applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, FileMaker, PowerPoint), Ellucian Advance Web, and relational databases (e.g., SAP); working knowledge of basic database structure, online usability, and user interface issues; and ability to integrate and manage diverse systems.  Must be able to perform data analysis; prioritize diverse concurrent tasks; handle a large volume of projects, sometimes under pressure; work independently and collaboratively; facilitate relationships with senior MIT leadership/constituents/colleagues/providers/vendors; and lead and work as part of a team in a customer service-oriented environment. PREFERRED:  academic advancement background; familiarity with postal regulations; and proficiency with Salesforce, Anthology Encompass, Drupal, and Google Analytics.  Job #21912-10

This position will be hybrid, with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
