Director of Annual Giving
The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for the management of an integrated annual giving program for Chaminade’s Annual Appeal, known as the Torch Fund. Working closely with the Office of Advancement and also Alumni Relations colleagues, the Director of Annual Giving will execute a program that includes direct response, personal solicitation and volunteer management.
The Director of Annual Giving reports to the Executive Director of the Office of Advancement with the following responsibilities:
- Create a compelling case for support and marketing/solicitation strategy for Chaminade’s Torch Fund program.
- Set strategy and compose copy for all Annual Fund solicitations
- Develop and execute program strategy across a variety of media including print, website, and social media channels.
- Manage the Torch Fund process, calendar, and vendor relationships.
- Implement strategies for thanking all donors internally.
- Measure program progress and adjust regularly to maximize revenue and participation.
- Conduct prospect and wealth scan research on new prospects and leads as they arise throughout the year, coordinating solicitation with leadership and Torch committee.
- Support the Executive Director of the Office of Advancement in management of the Torch Fund Committee.
- Manage volunteer solicitors, including strategy, messaging, and goal setting, along with the recruitment, training, and retention of engaged volunteers.
- Partner with the Director of Alumni and Parent Relations to create an efficient and effective volunteer strategy to increase support of the annual fund, with a particular focus on Reunion-year giving.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects and forge strong relationships with alumni, parents, CAPA and grandparents to influence and maximize contributions.
- Work closely with the institutional leadership team to qualify annual fund donors for major gift cultivation and solicitation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of the Office of Advancement.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of progressive fundraising experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Demonstrated data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Demonstrated self-starter who is motivated by challenging goals and not easily deterred.
- Commitment to working collaboratively within the department and across the school.
- Preference for candidates with personal solicitation experience and success in building and managing a volunteer program.
- An ability to travel and work some nights/weekends as required.
- Strong competency in Raisers Edge and associated Blackbaud platforms.
