Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred (Bachelor’s degree required)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Annual Fund, Special Events, and Marketing in an independent school, university, or non-profit org
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • High degree of computer/software systems literacy

Reports to: Executive Director

Job Goal: Develop fundraising strategies and engagement events that will result in growth of the annual fund and constituent engagement.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Executive Director, and as a member of the senior administration, the Director of Annual Giving and Event Planning is responsible for raising unrestricted funds for the school and planning events designed to engage LPS constituents

  • Supplement the operating budget of the school by growing the annual fund through increased giving and engagement.
  • With the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees, establish and communicate annual fundraising goals, metrics of success, and track and report results.
  • Manage existing alumni, parent, and all-school events – and identify new, creative opportunities for others – that will encourage alumni, parent, and community engagement in the school. Besides increasing participation of various constituencies, these events should be coordinated with the brand and marketing strategy of the school.
  • Assist the Executive Director, the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Admission and other appropriate parties in the development of a marketing plan to support enrollment goals and to enhance the enduring brand of LPS.
  • Manage all aspects of the Advancement CMR including data not limited to bio, capacity ratings, special tracking attributes, actions, and contact reports.
  • Process all gifts, gift receipts, and acknowledgement letters.
  • Develop and maintain the Executive Director’s portfolio and manage actions to ensure proper cultivation and stewardship of all prospects.
  • Serve on the Grant Committee and support the grant writing process.
  • Support the social media strategy of the school, including but not limited to social media, video and photography, and chronicling initiatives, programs, and events designed to advance the interests of LPS.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 annual salary
