Open a new chapter of inspired care as the Director of Development for the Annual Giving Programs for UF Health Shands Hospital, Florida’s leading health care center, located in Gainesville, Florida.

Our Director of Development will serve a very influential and important role in sustaining and growing charitable donations that will allow UF Health Shands Hospital to evolve our medical practices to better serve patients in our communities and beyond. Here, you will be able to:

• Assist the Advancement team in building a comprehensive annual giving program for UF Health.
• Build and ensure the consistency and sustainability of fundraising strategies for the annual campaign, including setting goals and building strategies to meet or exceed those goals.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of direct mail solicitation programs for target groups of alumni and donors.
• Serve as a leader in new data systems implementation, designed to improve communication with various constituent groups for the purpose of annual fund solicitations.
• Oversee and maintain efficient processes for third-party fundraising events.

The successful candidate for our Director of Development should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field with supervisory or senior leadership experience and at least two years of direct mail and event-specific solicitation experience. Candidates with five or more years of experience leading a complex fundraising program in an academic medical setting are highly desirable. We are seeking a proven leader with strong relationship and team-building experience who can effectively collaborate with fund development teams and serve as a steward for our donors.

Our Director of Development is eligible for relocation assistance and will receive competitive compensation ranging between $39.38 and $52.16/hour (commensurate with experience), exceptional full-time benefits including comprehensive health and dental, tuition assistance and generous PTO to allow you to explore and discover all that Florida has to offer.
